The garden is the heart of Picked Posies. The journey behind my pressed flower art is rooted in a love for nature, family traditions, and the art of preserving fleeting moments. My passion then blossomed into a unique and heartfelt business.
Inspired by nature and family
Picked Posies began with slow moments spent in the garden, reminiscent of time spent with my mom, aunt, and grandmother who taught me much of what I know. After each passed away I would find myself reminded of them each time I stepped into my own garden bringing peace and a place to grieve. Years later, inspired by the simple joys of gardening with my own young children, I sought a way to capture these moments. Pressing flowers became a cathartic practice, a pause in time, and the beginning of a beautiful journey.
Unique art, mindful care
What makes Picked Posies special is the dedication and commitment to the nature behind my art. I prioritize the environment, focusing on native species that benefit the local ecosystem. Each garden piece is crafted with intention, ensuring that the natural beauty of the florals are preserved and celebrated without harming the environment they grow in. I do not use artificial preservation methods for this reason.
